Dear members and supporters, I am pleased to announce that following the AGM, the committee elected the executive officers. Andy Calver was elected chair, Adam Bowie (Secretary) and Denis Cook (Treasurer and Membership).

As last year’s meeting via Zoom was so well attended, we will host this year’s AGM via Zoom on Sunday 23rd October 2022 at 6.30pm. All are welcome to attend but only paid-up members will be eligible to vote.

The weather was amazing and perfect for a day of launching! Ben Jarvis launched a spectacular HPR cluster and there were many, many fantastic flights. Many thanks to all the members that turned out and enjoyed the perfect summer day.

We had a great turnout on Sunday with the early weather cooperating nicely. Plenty of mid/high power and lots of activity on the model pad! The weather became a bit “patchy” in the afternoon but flying continued with a couple of pauses for aircraft and some low cloud.

The EARS Committee are pleased to announce the following forthcoming launches: Sunday 2 May and Monday 3 May: Please note that for this event, there will be no overnight camping, as this event is not Big EARS.

COVID Secure measures Social distancing must be maintained. Remain in your bubble. Follow the instructions of EARS marshals for parking arrangements. Following current BMFA guidelines for events, no spectators will be allowed – rocket fliers only.
